I have been working with children in a professional setting, whether tutoring or nannying or babysitting, since 2012. I graduated from high school a year early, have an Associate of Arts in Teaching, and have completed numerous courses in child development at the university level.
My tutoring experience includes working with special needs children, specifically students with dyslexia, ADHD, and developmental delay. I also have experience working with older students who need to complete remedial work or strengthen foundational subjects.
I come from a family that fosters and adopts, which has contributed to me finding my passion for working with kids. This passion led me to a 7-year career in nannying and a love for studying child development, including the research done for my Texas Woman’s University Homecoming Pioneer Talks speech on Adverse Childhood Experiences.
